The technical work of the FRIS project ended in spring 2022 and the results are now available to be viewed.

As a reminder, the study was designed to:

•        Explore developing an adaptive plan for investment into flood risk protection, prioritising the economic benefits rather than the Environment Agency’s normal approach of prioritising reduced levels of risk.

•        Analyse the results to give the Environment Agency and its partner organisations a better understanding of the levels of investment in flood protection over the next 100 years which would give a positive financial return.
